Third restaurant for Arbutus team
Michelin-starred Arbutus and Wild Honey are set to welcome a sister restaurant later this year, as owners Anthony Demetre and Will Smith confirmed the acquisition of a new site near London’s Covent Garden.
The pair have taken on a 5000 sq ft property on William IV Street, which seems to have become a regular haunt for most of the UK wine trade since Terroirs opened there just over a year ago.
Although the name of this new restaurant has yet to be revealed, the plan is for a European-style brasserie with around 150 covers spread over two floors.
Compared with its Michelin-starred siblings in Soho and Mayfair, this promises to be a more informal affair, offering another welcome alternative to the tourist-trap chains around Covent Garden.
Sure to attract plenty of attention in its own right, at last there’ll be an obvious place for the Terroirs overflow to head for.
