Beaujolais rediscovered
Inter Beaujolais is inviting the UK off-trade to rediscover Beaujolais crus through a series of evening masterclasses taking place around the country next month.
Due to be held in Newcastle, Edinburgh and London, each two-hour masterclass will be led by a series of experts, including Isabelle Legeron MW, Rose Murray Brown MW and Helen Savage.
Aiming to broaden the UK trade’s knowledge of this frequently misrepresented region, the masterclasses will focus on the ten Beaujolais crus, alongside a selection of its other wines, including white and rosé. As well as a tutored tasting, each session will cover the region’s history and varied terroir.
Details of each masterclass are as follows:
Tuesday 9 March, 8.30pm, with Isabelle Legeron MW at Browns Courtrooms, 82-84 St Martin’s Lane, Covent Garden, London, WC2N 4AA
Monday 29 March, 8.30pm, with Rose Murray Brown MW at The Royal Scots Club, 29-30 Abercromby Place, Edinburgh, EH3 6QE
Tuesday 30 March, 8.30pm, with Helen Savage at the Northern Counties Club, 11 Hood Street, Newcastle, NE1 6LH
Masterclass places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information or to book your place, contact Sandra Rogat or Amy Batchlor at Westbury Communications: +44 (0)207 751 9170.
