Date: | Thursday 11 February 2010 |
Timing: | 11 am– 5pm (a light lunch will be served from 12-2pm) |
Location: | German House, 34 Belgrave Square, SW1 (click for map) |
The Rheingau boasts the world’s greatest concentration of Riesling vines – 90% of white plantings. Seventeen growers will showcase the versatile style of the region’s Rieslings – from wines with luscious fruit which set the international benchmark for elegant sweet Riesling to modern dry Erstes Gewächs wines that show intense minerality and depth of fruit. This tasting will demonstrate the evolving style but continued quality of fine Rheingau wines.
