McKeon takes the reins at Asda
UK supermarket chain Asda has announced the appointment of former Cobra beer CEO Adrian McKeon as beers, wines and spirits category director.
He takes the reins from Barry Williams who has moved to category director for total grocery.
His appointment is intended to build on the success of the Asda BWS team, which successfully achieved double-digit sales and volume growth in 2009.
Emma Fox, food trading commercial director at Asda, said: “We are delighted to welcome Adrian into our award-winning BWS team.
“The breadth and diversity of his experience will add a new dimension to our offering in what will be an exciting year for the category. Adrian will be leading our World Cup 2010 plan where we aim to be the one-stop shop for customers.”
