Afternoon tea, BAFTA-style
Inject a glamorous uplift into your January and book a place at the one-off BAFTA Afternoon Tea at The Dorchester in London.
Taking place on Thursday 21 January, the event offers a chance to soak up the red carpet atmosphere in the company of BAFTA’s partners Champagne Taittinger, Asprey, Charles Worthington, Escada and Lancôme.
Guests can sit back in The Promenade at the heart of the luxury hotel and enjoy all the traditional frills of afternoon tea, including sandwiches, homemade scones and a pastry selection, washed down with a glass of Taittinger.
Meanwhile models will show off the latest eveningwear from Escada, while Asprey displays highlights from its new jewellery collections.
Each table will receive a copy of the BAFTA nomination details, announced that morning, as well as a goody bag. As if this wasn’t enough of a style fix, The Dorchester will automatically enter all guests into a prize draw to win the official bag given out to nominees.
BAFTA CEO Amanda Berry flagged up the event, saying: “The BAFTA Afternoon Tea will provide a sneak preview of the anticipation, the style and the glamour that surrounds the Orange British Academy Film Awards.”
The BAFTA Afternoon Tea is available in two sittings, 2:15pm and 4.45pm, priced at £48 a head. To book, email restaurants@thedorchester.com or call +44 (0)207 629 8888.
