Rhythm & Booze acquires FQR stores
A number of redundant First Quench Retailing stores have been snapped up by R & M Swaine, owner of the Rhythm & Booze chain in the north of England.
It has bought 34 shops from FQR, swelling the Rhythm & Booze shop tally to 76. The purchase is expected to increase the company’s turnover to £80 million.
The acquisition will now bring Rhythm & Booze, which is based in Barnsley, to Thirsk, Scarborough, Grimsby, Hull, Sheffield as well as to the county of Lincolnshire.
R&B says this acquisition makes it one of the largest independent off-licence chains in the UK.
