Frescobaldi opens Harrods restaurant
Frescobaldi is bringing a taste of Tuscany to Harrods this winter, opening a restaurant in the food hall of the luxury London department store.
The dei Frescobaldi Restaurant and Wine Bar features classic Florentine main dishes and antipasti, freshly made produce to take away and, of course, some of the producer’s wines.
Highlights from the 40-bin list include Mormoreto, a single-vineyard cru of Castello di Nipozzano, and Ornellaia.
The atmosphere and décor aim to recreate the feel of the Frescobaldi restaurant in Florence’s Piazza della Signora. The menu continues this theme, featuring signature dishes such as scallop and fennel risotto with gremolata, or for the antipasti, a Parmigiano fondue with truffle or a plate of duck bresaola.
Customers who need a further Frescobaldi fix can head straight from lunch to the Harrods Wine Shop, where a selection from the family’s portfolio is available to take home too.
