Restaurant tells Turkey to cluck off
Forget cold turkey, London restaurant High Timber is banning the bird altogether from its Christmas menu.
Co-owner Neleen Strauss explained the decision, saying: “I find it absolutely amazing that we reserve the worst meat for the most special meal of the year.
"We have nearly 40,000 bottles of some of the best wines from around the world and I’ve yet to taste one that can elevate turkey.”
True to its South African roots, the restaurant will be spearheading steak as a tastier festive alternative.
