House of Fraser launches first fizz bar
House of Fraser has opened its first Champagne bar at the retailer’s Manchester branch. The department store has collaborated with Champagne GH Mumm on the project, featuring the brand as its house pour.
Launched in October, Tom’s Champagne Bar is the prototype for number of additional bars now being planned for other House of Fraser branches.
Andy Aldrich, director and joint owner of Champagne Bars Limited, which runs the Tom’s Champagne Bar concession, outlined plans for the future developments of this project.
He explained: “Manchester is the first of a roll out hopefully with potentially Glasgow, Guildford and Oxford Street next year. The relationship started with the area manager of the Manchester store and that is why we began there.”
Negotiations are already underway to obtain sites in these prime locations, which also includes a site at the London Victoria House of Fraser branch.
