Russian Standard continues Q Awards tie-up
Russian Standard vodka has been announced as the official headline sponsor of the 2010 Q Awards for the second year running.
One of the most respected and eagerly awaited music awards in the calendar, the tie up will see Russian Standard enjoy heavyweight promotion in the lead up to the awards, including a series of concerts featuring some of the biggest names on the music scene.
Running over six nights, the gigs will be headlined by a selection of artists including Kasabian and Lost Prophets.
Acclaimed mixologist Rich Hunt has also created a range of Russian Standard cocktails to be served on the night of the awards bash.
A heavyweight sampling programme will take place on the red carpet, during the event and at the after-show party.
The sponsorship follows on from the launch of the Meet the Russian Standard campaign, a £1.2 million integrated marketing programme for 2009 that was announced earlier this summer.
“Our first link up with the Q Awards last year was a huge success and was an ideal way for the brand to reinforce its premium position against the background of a very high profile, urban music event,” said Joanne Birkitt, senior brand manager for Russian Standard at First Drinks.
“The brand continues to go from strength to strength across both the on- and off-trades and is currently the number two premium vodka by volume in the on-trade and still growing.”
This year’s list of Q nominees includes Dizzee Rascal, Blur, La Roux, Lily Allen and Pixie Lott.
The Q Awards 2009 with Russian Standard Vodka will be held on 26 October 2009 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.
