PLB announces new management line-up

PLB has announced details of it’s new senior management team following it’s purchase of the assets of HwCg and the initial taking on of all HwCg employees.

One-to-one consultations have been undertaken with all staff to assess how they could fit into PLB’s plans for the new business at Dorset House in East Grinstead.

The PLB sales team will be split three ways: David Cartwright and John Osborne will head up the multiple grocer accounts, with the latter also taking on the export and beer divisions.  Peter Bisley will lead wholesale, high street and specialist sales, bringing considerably more resource to the existing department.

Guy Young has been appointed to the role of buying director, overseeing a team led by Paul Meihuizen for the New World and Nick Tatham MW for the Old World.

The marketing department, headed up by marketing director Amanda Walker, will also be split into New and Old World divisions.  Stephen Walder will remain in his role as QC controller, as will Jonathan Newton as logistics director.

Simon Fredericks will continue to lead the finance team, with the addition of some extra resource from HwCg.

PLB managing director Peter Darbyshire said: “We have assembled a strong team that gives us the expertise to deliver on our business plan, provides the best service to our customers and will develop highly successful partnerships with our suppliers.  This is a very exciting time for PLB.”
