Drinking with the stars?
Members of the drinks trade whose lifestyle verges on the glamorous – or those contemplating a dramatic career move – may be interested to hear of a recent addition to the Hollywood wine scene.
The Wine Bar, which describes itself as an “intimate and cozy café and wine boutique”, opened this summer on Hollywood Boulevard, located within the Hollywood & Highland Centre.
Customers can stop by to pick up a bottle for dinner, taste their way through one of the various wine flights on offer, or settle in for a more thorough tasting session over lunch.
The Wine Bar offers tapas, paninis and salads, all made to order using fresh market ingredients.
In addition to hosting the Oscars in its Kodak Theatre, the Hollywood & Highland Centre plays host to the Wine, Jazz & Moonlight Summer Concerts.
Free to all members of the public, a $10 donation enables guests to enjoy a selection of wines, cheeses, fruits and breads, with all proceeds going to Project Angel Food, a charity set up to help those suffering from life-threatening illnesses.
Over 12,000 people attended the concert series this summer and the 2010 line-up promises to be bigger and better than ever.
