Asda PDM becomes Laithwaites buyer
Product development manager at Asda, Becca Reeves, will join Laithwaites’ wine buying team next month. The UK’s largest mail order merchant confirmed last week that Reeves, a former employee of Thierry’s, has been appointed to its global buying team.
She has been hired to manage the portfolios for the Rhône Valley, Provence, Languedoc, Chile and Eastern Europe.
Reeves will relocate from Leeds to Berkshire for the new role, where she becomes the fifth member of the firm’s global buying team and will report directly to Dan Snook.
Snook, the company’s global wine director, oversees the sourcing of wines for Laithwaites in the UK as well as for Direct Wines in Europe, the US, Australia and Hong Kong.
Talking of the appointment, Snook said: “I am delighted to welcome Becca to Laithwaites Wine at this exciting time and I am sure that her buying skills and knowledge of the wine trade will be a huge asset to our team.”
