Waterkloof at the Avalon
The Avalon in Clapham, south London, has teamed up with Waterkloof Estate in Stellenbosch for the first in a series of wine dinners.
Taking place on Tuesday, 8 September, just 20 tickets are available for the event at £38.50 each.
The five course dinner will be co-hosted by Werner Englebrecht, head winemaker at Waterkloof, and Danny Spencer, sales director for Boutinot.
Avalon head chef Adam Hicks has put together a series of creative pairings for the wines, starting with smoked mackerel, ricotta and lemon crostini to accompany the 2006 Peacock Ridge Chardonnay.
The event will be held upstairs in the Avalon’s newly refurbished private events space, the Blue Room. To reserve your place, contact the Avalon on 0208 675 8613, or email info@theavalonlondon.com
Avalon is the latest and biggest venture from Renaissance Pubs, the owners of the Bolingbroke in Battersea, The White Hart in Kennington and two other Clapham bars, The Stonehouse and The Abbeville.
