Chavot quits Capital
Eric Chavot has announced he is parting ways with The Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge, London, later this month.
Describing his departure as “amicable”, the French chef explained his decision to leave was motivated by the desire for a change, after over a decade at the helm of The Capital’s Michelin-starred restaurant.
Prior to this Chavot ran his own eponymous London restaurant, and was head chef for the former Restaurant Marco Pierre White at the Hyde Park Hotel.
Chavot, who will leave The Capital on 15 August, has yet to decide on his next step, announcing his intention to spend some time touring the UK to visit a number of friends from the culinary world, who include Raymond Blanc and Nottingham-based restaurateur Sat Bains.
