Ritz-Rothschild wine venture
The Ritz London has launched a new wine in collaboration with Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A.
The bespoke wine was blended using a selection of grapes from the Rothschild vineyards in Pauillac, home of the producer’s first growth property, Château Mouthon Rothschild. It was then matured and bottled at the Saint-Laurent-Médoc winery, where the Rothschild branded wines, including Mouton Cadet, are produced.
Xavier de Eizaguirre, CEO of Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A, said: “This partnership with one of the finest hotels in the world, a legendary London rendez-vous of elegance, refinement and haut cuisine, is a very exciting prospect.”
The Ritz Pauillac-Baron Philippe de Rothschild 2006 is now available on the wine lists of The Ritz Restaurant, The Rivoli Bar and room service, priced at £50 a bottle, or £14 by the glass.
