New appointments at United Wineries
United Wineries has expanded its UK team with two key appointments to consolidate its position as the largest supplier of branded Spanish wines in the UK.
Mark Roberts has joined the sales team as national account manager, while James Craig-Wood takes on the newly-created role of communications manager in the marketing team.
Roberts is responsible for the on trade in the UK and Ireland markets and brings a wealth of experience in this sector, gained primarily during his time at Pernod Ricard, InBev, and more recently at Berkmann Wine Group.
“United Wineries is a forward-thinking, market-driven organisation with a unique supply structure,” he said.
“It’s an exciting time to be joining the company and I look forward to driving distribution of our premium brands in the on trade sector.”
Craig-Wood joins from Weber Shandwick, where he looked after the trade and consumer PR for Pernod Ricard UK’s wine brands. Prior to that, James was Senior Communications Manager at Foster’s EMEA.
Craig-Wood said: “My career in the wine trade began with a love for the fine wines of Europe. Then the New World came along with its unrestrained, forward styles and caught my eye for several years.
“Now I am pleased to return to the elegant, cerebral and complex beauty of the Old World.”
