ICB names Constellation exec as new MD

John Mills, vice-president of European sales at Constellation Europe, has been appointed the new managing director of InterContinental Brands. 

The former Gaymer Cider Company MD said the move was partly motivated by the scope for innovation his new role would offer.

Mills said: “There is room for much more innovation in the drinks sector, which hasn’t seen anything like as much NPD as food.”

ICB founder Paul Burton added: “This is a major appointment and very much in line with our strategy and vision for the company.

“John is a senior figure in the industry [and] has just the energy, high-level expertise, leadership qualities and focus that will most assist us in driving our business on to the next level.”

Constellation has yet to announce a successor for Mills.
