Summer fizz from Freixenet
Freixenet is bidding to become this summer’s leading on-trade trend with its new promotion, Freixenet Fizz.
A combination of Freixenet Cava and selected fruit juices, the cocktail is touted as the perfect refreshment for long summer evenings, as well as seeking to capitalise on the UK’s growing sales of sparkling wine.
The Cava brand is supporting this promotion with POS material for bar managers who order Freixenet Cordon Negro or Freixenet Carta Nevada, the two styles selected as the base for an authentic Friexenet Fizz. In addition, any bar or restaurant with this Freixenet Fizz Kit will be eligible for a draw to wine 24 bottles of the brand’s Cordon Negro Seleccion.
The campaign developed after Nielsen figures revealed that during 2008 Freixenet led sales of dry sparkling wine across UK multiple retailers. Freixenet brand manager Natalia Celemin described Freixenet Fizz as “a cool, long, feel-good drink and we believe it is perfect to boost sales on warm, summy days!”
