Philipponnat joins the latest Champagne trend
Champagne Philipponnat has joined the fashionable Champagne club of those who produce no- or low-dosage wines by launching its own version of the low sugar style – Philipponnat’s Non Dosé Cuvée.
The new addition to the portfolio is further evidence of Charles Philipponnat’s efforts to lower dosage levels across all the house’s cuvées, something he has worked on since he reassumed control of the Champagne house nine years ago.
Champagne Philipponnat Non Dosé Cuvée will be available in the on- and off-trade with a RRP of £28.50 a bottle.
Talking of the new wine, Philipponnat said: "We believe that creating a Champagne with no added sweetness will give the ultimate expression of terroir, something which is often lost in this region."
