Old Speckled Hen in Dave TV deal
Old Speckled Hen is to replace Cobra as the main sponsor of TV channel Dave’s prime-time schedule from 18 May.
Under the terms of the deal, the digital terrestrial channel will screen 10-second Old Speckled Hen adverts eight times per hour during the post-9pm schedule, which features popular shows such as Mock The Week, QI, Argumental and Red Dwarf.
Old Speckled Hen – the flagship beer brand of Greene King – views the tie-in with Dave as an ideal opportunity to advertise the brand to its target market of 25-44-year-old males.
The adverts will see the return of the fox icon, which the brand has not used for a number of years. The fox will be seen chasing a hen throughout the series of ads, coming across various odd yet traditional British events and customs along the way, accompanied by the strapline “seek out something different”.
