Boisset acquires Gabriel Meffre
French wine producer Boisset has bought Gabriel Meffre, maker of La Châsse du Pape, Fat Bastard and Wild Pig, among other wine brands. Meffre will continue to operate from its headquarters in Gigondas, in the Rhône valley.
Gabriel Meffre is the latest addition to Boisset’s expanding operations in the Rhône. Boisset acquired Vignobles du Peloux in November 2005 and Louis Bernard in 1998, both producers of wines from the Rhône.
Guy Anderson Wines remains sole UK off-trade agent for La Châsse du Pape and other Gabriel Meffre brands.
