Blair to chair LIWF and Distil board
Nick Blair, wine director at Pernod Ricard UK, has been announced as the new chairman of the London International Wine Fair and Distil advisory board. His expertise is drawn from a career spanning over 30 years in the drinks industry.
Blair’s current role at Pernod involves managing the commercial and marketing aspects for the company’s portfolio of major wine brands, including Jacob’s Creek and Campo Viejo.
Commenting on his appointment, Blair said: “As the world’s leading wine industry event, it is vital that the London International Wine Fair continues to meet the high standards expected from its broad international audience”, adding, “It is an honour to work with such a talented group of industry professionals in trying to achieve this”.
In a further appointment, Fiona Corfield, BWS buyer for Palmer and Harvey, will also take up a place on the board. Besides her current role, Corfield brings 20 years of experience at Sainsbury’s, where she was responsible for introducing the supermarket’s ‘Taste the Difference’ range into its spirits category.
