A pioneering range from John Avery
Bristol-based wine merchant Averys has launched a range of wines called Pioneer. The collection will include wines from producers in Tasmania, California, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.
The first wine from the Pioneer Range is a 2005 Yarra Valley Shiraz (abv. 13.5%), and will be available at an introductory price of £6.67 per bottle. This will then increase to an RRP of £8.99.
The wines have been selected by Averys’ chairman, John Avery MW. Avery, who is also a judge at wine competitions worldwide, enthuses, “Every now and then I discover small parcels of wine that stand out from the crowd and remind me why I found these wines so thrilling in the early days.”
