Odell quits Foster’s
Managing director of Foster’s Australia, Asia and Pacific (AAP) division Jamie Odell has quit after nine years with the company. It is suspected his resignation is due to the recent appointment of Ian Johnston as CEO – apparently Odell applied for the position but was overlooked.
Odell was responsible for the AAP division which contributes 80% of Foster’s earnings. Until the company completes its wine review, the overall leadership team will report to Johnston, including the heads of the Australian sales and marketing divisions, and the managing director of Asia/Pacific. In other words, Odell is leaving Foster’s without replacement.
