Palandri assets bought
3 Oceans Wine Company have announced the purchase of key assets from Palandri Ltd, which went into administration earlier this month.
Selected assets bought by 3 Oceans Wine Company include Palandri’s winery in Margaret River, certain vineyards from the same area as well as those in Frankland River, key inventories and all brand names, which include the Palandri and Baldavis labels.
CEO of 3 Oceans Wine Company, David Wheeler, commented, “We are delighted with the assets we have purchased and look forward to releasing the new labels and wine styles into the Europe markets over the coming weeks and months.” A fresh portfolio of wines, featuring the new look Palandri, will be launched by 3 Oceans Wine Company at the London Australia Day Tastings in January 2009.
David Hodgson, General Manager for the UK and Europe, further qualified this acquisition: “The Palandri brand has built a reputation for wine excellence, and has even greater potential in this region under the new ownership and stewardship of 3 Oceans Wine Company.”
3 Oceans Wine Company is a new business based in Western Australia, which also has a London office overseeing its European operations.
