Bond movie inspires packaging makeover
Her Majesty’s Secret Agent is soon to shake, if not stir the drinks industry once more as both Bollinger and Smirnoff unveil one-off packaging initiatives designed to tie-in with the latest Bond movie, Quantum of Solace.
Ahead of the film’s launch on 22 October Smirnoff has unveiled a Bond-branded Smirnoff Black limited edition cocktail shaker for the travel retail sector while Bollinger has developed the 007 Bullet.
The latter is a packaging format conceived by French designer Eric Berthès. It consists of a bullet-shaped alloy case based on a Walter PPK and will be limited to just 200 numbered items. Inside the case is a magnum of Bollinger La Grande Année 1999.
The Bollinger 007 Collector Bullet will be launched exclusively in Harrods and available from 17 October for £3,000.
Furthermore, a Bollinger 007 bar will feature in a Harrods’ shop window from late October.
