New Bud ad shows True Dedication

The second instalment in Budweiser’s “True Dedication” advertising campaign is being launched this weekend. The advert will be shown on television and in cinemas, and will have outdoor and print interpretations as well. The ad makes use of the characters from April’s advert – a group of six musicians being guided by Nashville performer, Dave Cloud. 

  
US filmmaker Harmony Korine has directed the campaign, which will run until the end of August. In cinemas, the ad will be shown before films such as Wanted and Batman, The Dark Knight. The print advertising will feature in men’s lifestyle and music magazines.

The advert itself, much like April’s advertising, shows Dave Cloud guiding the six musicians in their dedication to music. The previous advert, according to Budweiser’s UK marketing director Vicki Kipling, resulted in “spontaneous brand awareness now being at its highest level this year amongst our target audience”.
