White wine spritzer anyone?
If you thought the white wine spritzer had died in the ‘80s, you’d be wrong. Constellation Brands, master of creating new consumer trends, has just brought it back to life with the launch of the Echo Falls Spritz.
Designed to be “refreshment for women”, the 4% abv wine spritzer is targeted at women new to the wine market and those who wouldn’t normally consider drinking wine.
Launched off the back of research that suggests the “lighter drinking” market could be worth £200m in five years, Echo Falls Spritz is also aimed at “more experienced” female wine drinkers looking for a longer serve format.
The recommended serving suggestion is chilled, in a tall glass over ice. Echo Falls have blended Chardonnay and White Zinfandel with sparkling water. In a nod to contemporary fashion, one of the spritzers on offer is a rosé.
Each bottle of Echo Falls Spritz contains one unit of alcohol.
