Chianti Classico comes to London
Next week the Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico will bring the latest vintage, 2006, to London for a tasting at Somerset House. The event takes place on Monday 19 May from 10am and will include a sommelier service.
The format of the event is based on the traditional tasting held in Florence every February to celebrate the latest vintage. Visitors are invited either to take advantage of the sommelier service, or to self-pour if they have less time to spare.
In addition to tasting the last three vintages, guests will also be treated to two educational seminars about the region. Hosted by Peter McCombie MW and Daniele Rosellini, the talks will focus on the role of altitude and the Sangiovese grape.
If you would like to attend the seminars you must register in advance with Emma.
