Cointreauversial new brand ambassador

Cointreau has just announced Dita Von Teese, the celebrity burlesque artist, as their new worldwide brand ambassador. The two-year deal will see the star featuring ….

 …  in forthcoming advertising campaigns for the brand, details of which are yet to be released.

Von Teese’s famous 1940s-inspired strip shows and her marriage to Marilyn Manson make her a natural representative of the spirit’s tagline, “Be Cointreauversial”. Justin Weston, International Director for Cointreau describes Von Teese as combining “elegance and extreme refinement with a certain daring sensuality”; qualities which are in keeping with the brand’s flirtatious image.

In a further move towards celebrity endorsement within the spirits industry, Bacardi has signed Michael Schumacher as their Global Social Responsibility Ambassador. The seven time Formula 1 world champion will spread the message against drink driving on behalf of the brand, which also sponsors his team Ferrari under its Martini & Rossi label.
