Argento appoints new MD
Argento has appointed Amelie Nolan as their managing director, following the company’s global growth since January 2006, when she joined as their general manager.
The expansion enjoyed by Argento is representative of the upbeat atmosphere in the Argentinian wine industry as a whole.
Nolan is extremely positive about Argentina’s prospects, saying, “the outstanding wine quality that Argentina is capable of producing at every price point gives me complete confidence that the future for Argentina is very bright”. Simon Farr, director of the Argento Wine Company, remarked on Nolan’s appointment, “Her experience in selling and marketing New World branded wines from Australia, California, Chile and New Zealand has been invaluable. I have every confidence that she will continue to drive growth in both the Argento brand and the Argentine wine category as a whole”.
