Joseph Phelps appoints UK agent

Napa Valley’s Joseph Phelps Vineyards have appointed Private Cellar as joint agent for their wines in the UK. Private Cellar will focus on sales to private customers while the Wine Treasury will continue to sell to the trade and on-premise.

Tom Shelton, president and CEO of Joseph Phelps told the drinks business the move was made because “consumers want more direct contact with producers,” and that “over 30% of Joseph Phelp’s sales in the US are direct to the consumer.”
