Moramarco takes on new Constellation role
A reorganisation at Constellation has resulted in Jon Moramarco taking on the newly-created role of CEO of Constellation International.
International divisions of Constellation, namely the Hardy Wine Company and Constellation Wines International in Australia, the Nobilo Wine Group in New Zealand, and Constellation Europe, based in England will now all report to Moramarco.
Previously the CEO of Constellation Europe, Moramarco will now report to Constellation Brands’ president Rob Sands from headquarters in Fairport, New York. The group’s beer and spirits operations, US wine division, and Vincor Canada will still report to Sands.
As part of the company’s reorganisation, all effective from the beginning of March 2007, Constellation Europe’s current CFO, Troy Christensen, has been appointed to the position of president. Vice president of corporate development at Constellation’s headquarters, David Klein, will take on Christensen’s previous role.
Sands commented that "Our emphasis on being a nimble, entrepreneurial and decentralized organization is at the core of our strategy to deliver growth." He described these changes as "a natural and evolutionary aspect of conducting business in a global environment."
