New head of CIVB
Bordeaux has found a brave new man to head up the Bordeaux Wine Trade Council (CIVB) after past president, Christian Delpeuch, resigned at the end of May, frustrated by the French government and growers’ failure to address the region’s wine crisis.
Taking on the position is Alain Vironneau, already a member of the CIVB’s committee and President of the Trade Association for Bordeaux & Bordeaux Supérieur. He is manager of Châteaux Majureau-Sercillan and Tarreyrots. More information on this appointment will be revealed in August’s drinks business.
