Business news: Laurent Perrier annual revenues up
Champagne house Laurent Perrier has seen its full-year income jump 37% in the past year.
Its net attributable income for the year to March 31 rose to E22.47 million, while its annual revenues also rose 9% from E190.97m to E208.07m.
The group’s four core brands: Laurent Perrier, Salon, De Castellane and Delamotte continued to outgrow the market, with shipments increasing by 2% in the 2005 calendar year.
Laurent Perrier exports also performed well and now account for 63.9% of the group’s total revenues or a 1% gain compared to 2004–2005. However, its Champagne shipments in France have plateaued.
The group’s premium wine brands also saw strong expansion and were responsible for generating 36% of revenue – a 1% point gain against the previous year.
