New InBev UK President
Richard Evans, currently InBev’s vice president, brands, and formerly marketing director of Interbrew UK, is set to return from Leuven in Belgium to assume the position of president of InBev UK and Ireland.
He has been based in Leuven since June 2003, when he was seconded to work on a global project before taking up the role of vice president, commercial strategy, in November 2003. In this role, he has been heading up the development of InBev’s global sales and marketing approach.
Evans succeeds Colin Pedrick, who was appointed president of InBev UK and Ireland in August last year following Steve Cahillane’s promotion to chief commercial officer at InBev’s headquarters in Belgium.
Pedrick is stepping down following the successful completion of a recent restructure to create one commercial team to bring greater cohesion between sales and marketing.
Stefan Descheemaeker, president, Western Europe, says, “The InBev executive board of management recognises the work that Colin has achieved in his short time in the role and also the massive contribution that he has made to the business during his 27 years of service.â€
