Rosemount, the Aussie wine brand, has suffered a 20% collapse in sales in the second half of last year.
Brand owner Foster’s has blamed a lack of trade support after a few difficult years and tough conditions in its domestic market.
Foster’s chief executive said wine producers have no pricing power any more but it was
also reported that he said the company would seek to offset lower sales prices by exploiting its critical mass as well as its broad product offering. “We believe the best is yet to come for this company,” he added.
