Brightly coloured liqueurs brand Bols is pushing the boundaries of bartending by supporting the latest on-trade trend – molecular mixology. Bols recently launched a
new molecular mixology campaign in Paris, with eight of the world’s most respected bartenders attending an interactive seminar hosted by chemist and creator of molecular gastronomy, Hervé This (pictured). Attendees, who included Maxxium UK’s mixologist, Wayne Collins, and one of the UK’s leading bartenders, Tony Conigliaro, took part in technical experiments demonstrating the power of flavour, composition, texture, odour and taste.
Mark Docherty, assistant brand manager for Bols at UK agents Maxxium UK, says, “Molecular mixology is the biggest phenomenon to hit the cocktail market for years. Through initiatives such as our Bols Academy, run by Bols global trainer Philip Duff, we want to ignite creative talent among UK bartenders and continue to push the boundaries of cocktail making.”
