Jacob’s Ladder
Jacob’s Creek ascends into new market segments with a range of superpremium wines

As part of an evolution upmarket for Pernod Ricard’s Jacob’s Creek, a heritage range is being launched into the UK market. Made up of five “superpremium” wines, each has a distinctive appearance but is clearly branded as being part of the Jacob’s Creek family.
Included in the five is Jacob’s Creek Steingarten Riesling (which has had its label updated), Centenary Hill Shiraz, Reeves Point Chardonnay (formerly Jacob’s Creek Limited Release Chardonnay), Johann (formerly Jacob’s Creek Limited Release Cabernet Sauvignon) and St Hugo, a recent addition to the range.
This move is part of “a formalising of the superpremium range of Jacob’s Creek,” says Tim Sauer, communication and corporate public relations director, Orlando Wyndham, or, as Patrick Venning, head of marketing for wines at Pernod Ricard notes, “part of the global premiumisation strategy for the brand.”
