Nueva Rumasa in takeover rumours of Gonzalez Byass
Spanish press have been reporting this week that Gonzalez Byass is being sized up by Nueva Rumasa.

Rumours in the Spanish press are circulating again for Nueva Rumasa SA which is now said to be preparing a bid for Gonzalez Byass. However, sources in the UK told the drinks business that the Spanish wine producer has informed its employees that the company is not up for sale and that it has not had any conversations with Nueva Rumasa. Other sources in Jerez claimed that the Gonzalez Byass family had indeed been offered a €200m deal, however some of the family members were not willing to accept this offer.
