Vinexpo announce visitor attendance figures have risen this year with a 5% increase on 2003.
For exhibitors and trade visitors the Vinexpo show experience is now sinking under a mountain of work. However for the organisers the PR machine is still in full swing. The Vinexpo website proudly announces the ‘unexpected good news’ that attendance at the 13th Vinexpo show in Bordeaux is up.
In addition to an increase of visitor numbers of 5% from the 2003 show the percentage of non-French visitors has also increased to approximately 30%, reflecting the truly international nature of the exhibition.
Most notably Russian visitors increased by over 70%, further evidence of the potential of this emerging market for the drinks industry. Perhaps most impressive is the fact that one third of the world’s leading buyers attended Vinexpo, representing an increase of 26% on 2003.
Full details of the Vinexpo show results will appear in The Drinks Business August 2005 issue.
