Jacob’s Creek is oddson to be a favourite with the ladies this summer with the announcement that its Sparkling Rosé will be sampling at the 2005 Vodafone Derby Festival, one of the most prestigious horse racing events on the sporting calendar, as part of a wider launch campaign for the leading Australian brand’s new varietal. Patrick Venning, head of marketing for wines at Pernod Ricard UK, says, “Ladies’ Day at the Vodafone Derby Festival is predominantly targeted at ABC1 25 to 45-year-old women. As such, it offers a great platform to introduce consumers to this new sparkling wine.” Jacob’s Creek is also the Official Australian Wine Supplier to the Wimbledon tennis tournament for the ninth consecutive year.
