The Spanish government is teaming up with the country’s top wineries to launch a five-year, €50m promotion called "Wines from Spain, variety and quality". Focusing on seven key markets – the UK, US, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Holland and Denmark – the promotion is designed to increase market share against New World wines. Led by the Spanish Foreign Commerce Institute (ICEX), the campaign will only publicise wineries with a big international distribution network and existing market presence.
