Red bull boosts jaguar racing team
Red Bull has been active in F1 for several years, sponsoring Sauber and helping young drivers such as Enrique Bernoldi and Christian Klien.
ON A RACIER theme, the Jaguar Formula One team could soon have a bit more zip in its tank, having been bought by the Red Bull energy drink. Following Ford’s decision to withdraw from Formula One, the move by the Austrian soft drinks giant will secure Jaguar’s future and around 300 jobs at the team’s base in Milton Keynes.

Dietrich Mateschitz, Red Bull’s billionaire owner, says: "We are very much looking forward to our first season with Jaguar." Racing fans will be interested to hear that Jaguar will continue to use the engines made by Cosworth, which had also been put up for sale by Ford.
