Real beer lobby
Representatives of Adnams, Bavaria Beer, James Clay, Heineken, Refresh, Tiger Beer, Ubevco and CGA Centro all met to initiate the new organisation, which has yet to be named
BUDWEISER Budvar UK has set up a body for the marketing and promotion of foreign imported specialist beers.
Representatives of Adnams, Bavaria Beer, James Clay, Heineken, Refresh, Tiger Beer, Ubevco and CGA Centro all met to initiate the new organisation, which has yet to be named.
Representatives from Charles Wells and Sapporo could not make the meeting but have asked to be kept in the loop, says John Harley CEO of Budweiser Budvar UK.
"We decided immediately that we should go ahead and start laying a serious foundation for the new organisation," comments Harley. "It has become obvious that we have to do something.
There are a significant number of people out there who do care about where their beer is brewed, quality and provenance."
