Camera Wrangles
Stars ban picture phones from nightspots
LEADING LONDON nightspots have banned mobile phones that take photographs after a number of celebrities complained about being snapped while out on the town.
The surprisingly camera-shy stars have caused venues such as the Groucho Club, Home House, Tramp and Chinawhite to forbid the photo phones.
Tramp director Brian Crawford says, "We are very strict here. We know all our members and the use of these phones is something we frown upon.
The whole point of a private membership club is that people feel their privacy is respected."
David and Victoria Beckham’s favourite London restaurant, The Ivy, has also introduced a ban, which is a little ironic as the football star is currently the main attraction in an advertising campaign promoting these phones.
