Burger King releases its own ‘Whopper’ wine
Fast food restaurant Burger King has released its own red wine brand, Whopper Wine, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the opening of Burger King’s first branch in Spain.
Whopper Wine
The oak aged red has been crafted specifically to pair with the chain’s famous Whopper burgers.
To be in with a shot of trying the wine, the chain is asking people to share their favourite Burger King memories. The 40 best entries will win a bottle of the red.
While this is Burger King’s first foray into wine, rival McDonald’s already sells wine in a number of its South American sites.
Keen to innovate, earlier this year Burger King launched a Whopper-inspired fragrance called Flame Grilled priced at £28 a bottle. Last year the chain debuted a “black burger” in a bamboo charcoal bun in Japan.
