National Champagne Week returns
National Champagne Week is set to return this October, “bigger than ever before”, say the organisers.
Taking place from 1-7 October across 19 participating venues in London, Birmingham and Bath, 10 Champagne houses will be providing wines for tastings, masterclasses and brunches.
Participating venues include all four of Searcys Champagne bars and the Gherkin in London as well as The Pump Room in Bath and Champagne bar and restaurant in Selfridges’ Birmingham store.
Rhian Phillips, head of marketing at Searcys which last year shipped a 30-litre Melchizedek from Paris for the occasion, said: “We can’t wait for what is the becoming the biggest week in the Champagne calendar, bringing together those who want to show their appreciation for the world’s most glamorous drink. Fans of fizz are in for a real treat, with a range of events across the week.
“Our aim is to emphasise the diversity of Champagne with accessible, approachable and memorable experiences.
“With so much going on across the week, we think there’ll be something for everyone, and would encourage people – whether Champagne virgins or connoisseurs – to come along and enjoy a glass or several with us.”
A full line-up of events will be released soon. For more information visit the website here.
