ProWein Singapore to debut in 2016

April 2016 will see the launch of yet another trade fair in Asia, this time in Singapore as ProWein adds to its international portfolio of shows.

Taking place from 12-15 April, ProWein Singapore will take place in partnership with Singapore Exhibition Services and in parallel with bi-yearly show Food&Hotel Asia.

This mirrors ProWein’s arrangement with International Allworld Group for its Shanghai show which launched in 2013.

Food&Hotel Asia is the region’s largest international food and hospitality show and when last held this April attracted 45,000 trade visitors  from the food, retail and hospitality industry.

The wine segment (previously known as Wine&Spirits Asia)has been developed with help from ProWein organisers, Messe Dűsseldorf.

Messe Dűsseldorf said in a statement: “As an internationally recognised hub for the whole of South-East Asia, Singapore also offers clear location advantages.

“All this makes ProWine Asia the perfect platform for export-oriented producers of wine and spirits from throughout the world wishing to tap into the South-East Asian market.”

Justerini & Brooks’ managing director, Chadwick Delaney, recently told the drinks business that he thought south-east Asia one of “the most exciting” areas in Asia at the moment with Singapore providing a gateway to emerging markets such as Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.
